Request Rule for showMessage

I've a request rule which shows message under the following conditions

status = "Planning"
document A completed = "No"

and this works absolutely fine.

while I've to do a little change to it.

I need to display this message under the following conditions also

status = "Planning A"
document A completed = "No"

status = "Planning A-1"
document A completed = "No"

so basically it can be written as

status = "Planning;Planning A;Planning A-1;
document A completed = "No"

I did select these three statuses in the rule dependencies list, btu it seems like there is no "OR" condition in the rule

any expert suggestions on how I could implement this.

I am asking this because, if I do individual rules for each status then I have more than 40 statuses, and I will have to write 40+ rules which is not efficient and this must not be the geniune way to do it.

Re: Request Rule for showMessage

Dom,
My experience is that all dependencies are 'AND'ed. Since you are checking for multiple values in the same status field, then with the AND it will never be true. You could write the rule so that the status is not equal to all remaining values. You would have to maintain the rule any time that you add a status.

Hi,

thanks for the reply.

Yes you are right, and also it was confirmed by HP global support to be a bug.
