Replace the error message

Hi All,

 

When user enters worng password then attached error is shown. Is is possible to replace this with some user defined error.

What version of PPM are you using? How is the user authenticated?

 

We are running 9.14. An invalid id or password produces the following for us for unknown ids and for PPM or LDAP authenticated ids:

 

                       Invalid username/password. Logon denied. (KNTA-10012)

We are on PPM 8.02 and users are LDAP authenticated.

 

Upon providing the wrong username, it says: Invalid username/password. Logon denied. (KNTA-10012)

 

But upon providing wrong password, it shows error attached in previous post...

It would appear to be a bug. I think the only way you could fix it is to get a patch for the problem. If HP already has a patch, they may send it to you but 8.0 is nearing the end of its lifetime. Maybe the problem is fixed in a later 8.0 service pack. It does not happen to us at 9.14.
