Query My-SQL based DB from PPM WorkFlow Step

Hello,
Our PPM instance runs on Oracle DB. We have a requirement where we need to query an external Application Database which runs on My-Sql based DB and populate that output in the Request field.
Is it possible to do that through Workflow Step Command ?
If any one of you have similar experience or better idea on how that can be achieved Please Suggest.
Thanks.

Hi Raj,

Yes, this is possible. Probably the easiest way is to use DG4ODBC, then you can connect to the MySQL DB via database link from Oracle/PPM.

Also, you could set up the validation as "Command with Delimited Output" to execute the mysql command with the appropriate query.

Thanks Guys for the suggestion.
I am still trying to work with our DBA to see if this works out for me :-(

Looks like Eric's Suggestion would work just fine but our DBAs are suggesting that it requires ODBC gateway installs and some configurations which is a little more work than we were expecting for it. So, we have decided not to go for it at this time.
Thanks.
