Project completed/cancelled: "edit workplan" not visible to project stake holder

Dear PPM'ers,

We've a completed/cancelled project that relevant stake holder wants to be able to edit work plan for archival. He has only the "view workplan" option seen on the interface. He's been granted project management licence & also has the edit project/workplan/update tasks privileges granted under user acess in WB.

Is there anything missing in terms of security privileges for the user to be able to edit workplan (Edit workplan to be displayed to user).

Also I'm unable to add this stake holder as participant for this project, it's greyed out. Any ideas??

Thanks,
Pradeep

Re: Project completed/cancelled: "edit workplan" not visible to project stake holder

Hello Pradeep.
To be able to edit a workplan the user has to be project manager of the project or at least summary task owner, then he can edit his part of the workplan. Stakeholders just have read access.
If you want to assign tasks/summary tasks to that user, you need to be resource pool manager of one of the resource pools the user is currently part of.

Re: Project completed/cancelled: "edit workplan" not visible to project stake holder

Thanks Sasha!! Maybe I'm confusing you, user has already been granted project management licence & also has the edit project/workplan/update tasks privileges granted under user acess in WB.He's not added as a project participant/summary task owner (is this the issue?).Also do i need to have the security group access set for the request type & workflow for this project? Also we can't provide configuration licence to this user to be able to edit work plan (presently read access default as mentioned). Please advice.

Thanks,
Pradeep

The licenses and access grants are required of course, but the user needs to be the project manager of the project, so someone needs to add him as a project manager in the configure participants dialogue.

Pradeep, you're going to have to reopen that project before anyone can make any changes to either the work plan or the stakeholders.
