Production and Test env problem

Hello!
We have created test env. To create it we do the following:
1. copy PPMC folder from production windows appl. server to test windows apll server server
2. run config utils on test windows server and setup connection to the test DB server.
3. restore product database on the test env. (we use oracle database)
4. install and run PPMC services on test env.

The problem is that when we connect to test PPMC we see that there are connection to product env too. It is very strange as all config parameters of the test server are correct (SID, port. ip adress, URL).
Are there any ideas?

Settings are correct in both server.conf and Workbench -> Environments?

Solution

Re: Production and Test env problem

Hello Vasily

in the PPM directory/server there is a directory (kintana by default).
if you do anther instance, the name of the directory need to be change and in the server.conf --> kintana_server_name.

Do not forget to run kUpdateHTML after that.

if you are using windows, you also need to create a new service.

Hope it is helpful
