Problem when importing from MS Project to PPM.

We are experimenting very long time periods (like 6 hours) when sending some projects of about 2000 lines from MS Project to HP PPM.

We are monitoring server performance (cpu usage, processes, disk space) and everything seems to be running normally.

What else do you recommend to check in order to solve this?

PPM 7.5.0 SP1
Thanks in advance.

Jon.

Re: Problem when importing from MS Project to PPM.

you might want to check SP2,SP3 and SP4, I think some performance improvements were made.

Thanks Arthur.

We are planning to install SP4 no later than next week.

I'll reply again in this thread if the problem persists.

Re: Problem when importing from MS Project to PPM.

Hi Jon.
Later i use 7.1 sp5 (MSP 2003 sp3)
now i use 7.5 sp3.Then i load plans from MSP to PPM (about 5000 lines = 3-5 min) i don't see any differents between 7.1 and 7.5.
Try to reinstall your MSP and plugin.
Good Luck

Re: Problem when importing from MS Project to PPM.

Many thanks to both of you. This is a known issue in 7.5 version till service pack 3.

This issue is fixed in SP4. We expect to solve the problem with SP4 upgrade.

I'm closing this thread.
Thanks again.
