Re: Problem in view report

Hi,

can you attach a screenshot?

The link to View Report does not look like a link to PPM entity...

cheers

Re: Problem in view report

Can you make sure that in server.conf file these 2 parameters are set coorectly.

com.kintana.core.server.BASE_PATH=c:/itg
com.kintana.core.server.REPORT_DIR=c:/itg/reports/

If no then set them correctly and then run kUpdateHtml.sh and start the server.

Cheers..

Re: Problem in view report

Hi,

the link in the notification points to nawsbamerc003v, whereas PPM seems to run on nawsbamerc003.

I think you should check the BASE_URL value in server.conf.

cheers

Re: Problem in view report

There is no problem with the base URL, Same error is occuring with the all the reports when we are trying to view the report from the e-mail.

Re: Problem in view report

Hi,

I would anyways check the whole server.conf for the nawsbamerc003v value...

cheers

Re: Problem in view report

I have already checked the 'nawsbamerc003v' value in whole server.config file everything is fine in that

Solution

Re: Problem in view report

This issue is solved.

I have solved this issue by completing following steps.

1. Stop the PPM instance

Note: You may need to do these steps in the off hours.

2. Go to PPM_HOME/server/SERVER_NAME and delete the following directories (if present): "tmp" and "work"

Note: Repeat for all servers (nodes)
Note: Do not back these directories up as they will be re-created again when the PPM instance is re-started.

3. Go to PPM_HOME/server/SERVER_NAME/log and re-name the serverLog.txt file.  This will allow for a clean log to review.

Note: Repeat for all servers (nodes)

4. Go to PPM_HOME/bin and run "sh kUpdateHtml.sh"

5. Start the PPM instance.
Thanks,

Re: Problem in view report

Neither of these solutions seems to work.  Somehow in the past week "itg" has disappeared from the hyperlink on the view report button we get with the email sent when the report has run.  I'm trying to figure out where that is set.

Re: Problem in view report

Hello Terry,

The Reports and Logs directories are specified in the server.conf.  Look for:

com.kintana.core.server.REPORT_DIR

com.kintana.core.server.REPORT_LOG_DIR

Of course, if you changed these you will need to run kUpdateHTML.sh

It’s pretty straight forward unless you’re clustered or using a external web server such as IIS.  If so, you can review the configurations in the PPM 9.1x admin/ install guide.

Say Hi to Jim B & Mike M for me.

Good Luck!

Dan
