PPM v7.5 and OPENLDAP

we are interconnecting PPM 7.5 with OpenLDAP as a active directory in order to authenticate the users of the platform from the OpenLDAP.
Is neccesary use an adminitration user and password to interconnect the PPM and openLDAP???
The idea is just authenticate and permit the access to PPM.

Re: PPM v7.5 and OPENLDAP

PPM uses the KINTANA_LDAP_ID and KINTANA_LDAP_PASSWORD to connect to the directory and determine the fully qualified domain name for the user. It then attempts to log in with this name and the password provided by the user. If successful, the login is allowed. If your directory supports anonymous logins for this search, you probably do not need to create this administrative account in the directory.
