PPM Worklpan and MSP Workplan

Dear All,

We have a PPM Project which is currently associated with a .mpp file, meaning its workplan is created from MSP.

Is there a way that I can dis-associate this project with this current .mpp file and associate it with a new one? Or is there a way that I can duplicate the .mpp file?

Thanks.

Catherine

Re: PPM Worklpan and MSP Workplan

Hi Catherine,

What is the MSP integration level for this specific project? Is it MSP Control?

You can remove the association from the MSP side, I mean opening the mpp file and using the PPM plugin menu and clicking into remove association.

Then, you can go back and remove the whole workplan from the PPM project. You need to be sure no actuals are logged in timesheets for its tasks.

And finally you can import a new workplan (mpp file) for the project.

If you don't have the delete workplan option be sure the MSP settings are set to PPM control.

Hope this helps!

Jonathan

Re: PPM Worklpan and MSP Workplan

Hi Jonathan,

Thank you for your attention.

Is there a way that we can associate the MS Project to the same PPM project without deleting the existing workplan associated to it?

Thanks.

Catherine
