PPM Notifications

Hi,

regarding thread: http://forums12.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?admit=109447627+1220010788599+28353475&threadId=1202874

this seems to be a proper solution for that (sending emails to users chosen in request fields) however I can't get it working:
Data:
Request type field token: ITBA
Field validation: CRT - Assigned To â Enabled
Notification:
- Type: User defined token
- User defined token: REQD.P.ITBA
- Recipient Type: Username

I got an error in Server Log: EmailNotificationAgent: querynotificationImmediateOnly: ERROR: parent without recipients
EmailNotificationAgent: querynotificationImmediateOnly: ERROR: parent ID = 30061

Other notifications work perfectly. I just wonder whether using token which value is set to user First Name + Last Name (not username) should be a Username recipient type. If so - how to obtain username (or email) from this validation?

Re: PPM Notifications

Hi.
Use[REQ.P.ITBA] it must be working.
I use same way for notifications, for example [REQ.P.CREATED_BY_NAME]or [REQ.P.VOTERS].

Re: PPM Notifications

Thank you for your tip. There must be something wrong with my instance - there is the same problem with security for the step - it does not allow to access step actions when security is set to user defined tokens like REQD.P.ITBA.

Both notifications & security work fine for Standard request tokens like REQ.ASSIGNED_TO_USER_ID.

Re: PPM Notifications

I've finally spotted error - there was a problem with Recipient Type - it should be User ID, not Username. Now it works both for Notifications and Workflow Step Security.
