PPM Integration with Outlook or Sharepoint

Hi,

Hope someone has already done this or would have some input on how it works.
I need to build a form in Outlook or Sharepoint and then Integrate it with PPM. I dont want to build the form in PPm because of licensing costs.
The end game is to capture the information from different users using a standard template in Outlook via email or Sharepoint and then load it all in to PPM. Is this integration possible in PPM v9.1.

Thanks,

V

Hi Vsalian,

I'm sorry but still there isn't any integration. We are looking for it too.

Re: PPM Integration with Outlook or Sharepoint

Would it be possible to build an infopath form that uses .net code to call PPM web service, sending the information into a new request?

I tried this in our instance in version 7.0 and it worked well, couldn't find a web service class that submits the request though.

Re: PPM Integration with Outlook or Sharepoint

Hi V,

As I have seen in HP documents, createRequest web service is available with PPM 7.1 and later. But importRequest is available from version 6.0 and it does the same function. Also ksc_export_request special commands causes the PPM workflow engine to invoke the web service and create a
request and available from version 6.0.

Re: PPM Integration with Outlook or Sharepoint

Thanks for the rsponse guys.
Celil - I am new to this and not sure how to make it work. Is there any documentation I can refer to, to carry out the integration.
All i want is to build aform in Outlook or sharepoint and PPM to suck that information as a request. Thanks again

Re: PPM Integration with Outlook or Sharepoint

I have send two books (which compressed and divided two part because of 1MB upload limit).

PPM9.10_WebServices.pdf documant talk about PPM webservice background and admin details (I think you should read it first even if You are not admin)

PPM9.10_WebServices_Programmers.pdf documant for programmers.

There is an other best documant is "How to create requests using PPM Webservices". It describe step by step what should you do with screenshots and example codes.(perfect :)

Because of 1 MB upload limit I will send you files reply by reply.

Please inform me if them useful for u.

Re: PPM Integration with Outlook or Sharepoint

Hi V - I don’t know about Outlook but my company produces a connector for HP PPM and SharePoint.

It's pretty straight forward. Check it out:  http://www.ppmetrics.com/wordpress/spc

Hope this help.
