PPM : Any OOTB functionality for purge and archive data in tables of PPM

Hi,

There are certain tables in PPM which store the historic data and because of this there is storage problem.

The data in these tables needs to be checked periodically for validity, and deleted once its of no significance.

In this way we can reduce the huge data in these tables.

Could anyone let me know if there is any automated script which can periodically do the purge and archive activities on database.

Could also let me know if PPM has any OOTB functionality for purge and archive activities.

List of few PPMC tables which store large data are:
• KCRT_FG_PFM_PROPOSAL
• KCRT_REQ_HEADER_DETAILS
• KCRT_REQUEST_DETAILS
• KNTA_NOTIF_TXN_DETAILS
• KNTA_NOTIF_TXN_PARENTS
• KNTA_NOTIF_TXN_RECIPIENTS
• KNTA_REPORT_OUTPUT
• KNTA_USER_SECURITY_HIST
• KWFL_STEP_TRANSACTION_HISTORY
• KWFL_TRANSITION_TRANSACTIONS
• KWFL_WORKFLOW_INSTANCE_STEPS
• TM_USERS_TIME_APPROVERS

Thanks in Advance.

Regards,
Mandy

Re: PPM : Any OOTB functionality for purge and archive data in tables of PPM

Hi,
there is a section on "Cleanup Parameters" in the admin manual. But to date (8.0) there is no archive function for requests and related data yet.
Archiving is a function that is on the general agenda for future PPM releases though and we keep requesting it regularly at meetings with product management.

Thanks for your mail Sacha. The cleanup option is working partially.

Can it be done at DB(using Oracle as DB) side by using script. I mean can we write a script in oracle that can solve above problem.

Waiting for reply.
