PPM 8.03 performance test - using the same user account for 1000 virtual users

Hi guys,

We are conducting Performance Test on our PPM 8.03 instance. We are going to use HP Performance Test and planning to use one PPM user account (DM and PM license) to create projects, move them through workflow, and create work plans and so on. The scenarios are not too complex, and they do mimic real users.

The question is: do you see any possible problem (application server, DB server) in using the same PPM user account for 1000 simultaneous user sessions?

Thanks,

Dmitry

There won't be any issues until "Single Sign On" is configured...

Cheers..

Hi, Utkarsh. I'm interested on your answer. What do you mean about not having any issues until SSO is configured?

Is there any known issue when conecting to PPM (single sign on) many times with the same user? Any potential risk and/or issues?

Thanks in advance

Hi Gatienza - Is your workflow having that one user reporduce the same process over and over?  When you using SSO that one user is opening up different instances of your application 1,000 times. Once SSO is config this can cause issues during performance testing.

Hi ,

we got a requirement to do performance testing on HP PPM tool. Could you please tell me what was the tool & protocol used and if there are any challenges in scripting
