Not able to show a hyperlink in a table component field.

Hello,

We have a requirement where we need to show a request_id hyperlink in one of the fields within a table component. I have made a rule that populates request_id field based on user_id field-

select ''||krd.request_id||'',
''||krd.request_id||''
from kcrt_request_details krd
where upper(krd.parameter1) = upper('[TE.VP.ATTUID]')
and krd.request_type_id = 30172
and krd.batch_number =1

Now what happens is when I enter user_id then the rule is triggered and it populates the request_id field with correct id say 12345 and there is hyperlink as well. But when i save that entry in the table component, then the field shows the entire html tag string. Please let me know if someone has come across such an issue.

Set the field as a text field that is not editable.

Can you attach a snapshot of the field definition and the rule?

Re: Not able to show a hyperlink in a table component field.

Don't know if there is something special with fields in a table component, I would try using as the first tag and remove the other html tags.
I've used it this way at least in portlets and request types.

select ''||krd.request_id||'',
''||krd.request_id||''
from kcrt_request_details krd
where upper(krd.parameter1) = upper('[TE.VP.ATTUID]')
and krd.request_type_id = 30172
and krd.batch_number =1
