Neg Hours on Time Sheet

Neg Hours on Time Sheet

We had a user who put time to a wrong request in April. The time sheets have been closed so we cannot rework them. We would like to put in neg hours to a current time sheet but PPM will not allow us. Is there a setting that can be changed to allow this? We're running PPM 7.5 SP3.

Hi Rich,

Sorry, I know this is after the fact but what we do is just keep the time sheets in "approved" status and not close them out - at least not for a few months. This way people can still make changes.

I think at this point, your only option might be to change the status of the time sheet from the back end so you can go back and make the changes.

Alternately, you might be able to create a specific cost rule for this request & employee combination that would effectively zero out his/her cost.

Hi Rich,

You should still be able to book negative time to a task. One thign you need to make sure is that tha overall actual hours on the task do not go negative. If the number of hours booked on the task is greater than the number of negative hours the perosn is trying to book time to then you should be fine.
