We are getting multicast error messages on a clustered ppm setup we have:
server:ClusterMonitor.HeartbeatThread:com.kintana.core.server.cluster.MulticastCommsFailureMonitor:2013/04/04-12:22:25.299 EDT: No multicast traffic has been received on the APP_SERVER_MULTICAST_PORT port since this node was started, even though other nodes in the cluster appear to be active. Please check your multicast routing, server.conf settings, and/or firewall settings.
While working with HP Support we were checking the Java version and Port connections on the two servers that make up the cluster. When checking java on one of the servers we got this error:
$ java -version
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Unable to load native library: Can't find dependent libraries
WE checked the Environment Variable and was able to echo $JAVA_HOME so what am i missing?
The system will search entries in the PATH variable in the order they appear. Java should only appear in the PATH variable once. The easiest way to do this is to add the value set into JAVA_HOME into the PATH variable after it is set. The command to do this in the profile will be something like the following (exact syntax depends on what shell you are using):
With this setup, a change to JAVA_HOME is automatically copied into the PATH variable and only one version will be used.
