Migration of Entities Using Deployment Management

Hello,

We are trying to migrate existing Request Types to Production, I know on migration they will have new Request Type Id's. I wanted to know if all old requests get updated with this new Request Type Id too.

I hope there will not be any issues.

Thanks for your help.

Lizabeth,

If the request types you're migrating into Prod have the same names as the ones already in Prod, then the ones in Prod will be replaced by them and no RequestTypeID will be changed.

Re: Migration of Entities Using Deployment Management

Thanks Erik,

We were surprised too, infact what happened was that the 'Creation Date' in the Database Tables was changed to the 'Date of migration', when we migrated our entities.

This caused a lot of confusion, since we were not aware of the original ID's in the tables, I have opened an SR with HP and it seems to be a bug at their end.

Thanks for your help.
