Re: Migrating Security Groups

Hi,
when migrating entities you have the option to add missing security groups. Try migration a dummy dashboard module or a request type where you give access to the new sec groups.

Re: Migrating Security Groups

But the problem is will the security group contain the users in the Security group and migrate that as well

Re: Migrating Security Groups

It won't migrate users; do the same users exist on both systems already?

Re: Migrating Security Groups

I don't think Users can be migrated along with migrating Objects. We usually add the users after migrating the Security Group

Re: Migrating Security Groups

I haven't tried it myself but I think you should be able to run a script to add users to a security group by populating KNTA_USER_SECURITY table directly.

If all users have same user_id you may be able to acheive the same by just refreshing the data for that same table as well.
But if you really don't have very big number of users, I would still suggest just populating them manually through Workbench.

Hope that helps a bit.
