Re: Making same name field in Request Type

The Field Prompt and Token values for the two fields need to be unique. You can use Start Date 1 and Start Date 2 for the two fields. Then you can enter Start Date as the Description value for both fields. The value in the Description field is the one that will be displayed on the form.

Re: Making same name field in Request Type

Hi SureshR,

This can be done from back-end... Just make the token diifernet for these two fields and based on the token execute this SQL

update KNTA_PARAM_SET_FIELDS_NLS

set PROMPT = 'Start Date:'

where PARAMETER_TOKEN like '<Your Token>'

Cheers..

Re: Making same name field in Request Type

Hi Jim, The request doesn't pic the value from Description, it pics the value from Prompt name. So is there any other way to resolve this. Cheers!

Re: Making same name field in Request Type

Place an exclamation point as the first character of the Description field ( !Start Date: ). Sorry I overlooked that detail in my first reply.
