Re: MS Project Replacement?)....

Hi,

Depending on version. We are using old v6.0 and it has working but quite limited implementation of Project management. We use it but really miss functionality like filtering of tasks, lags, constraint types, deadlines etc.

I heard new versions like 7.1,7.5 and 8.0 are much better in this respect.

Re: MS Project Replacement?)....

As soon as our users got accustomed to the web interface of PPM they were fine with it. Creating a workplan from scratch is a little bit more straight forward with MSP because it's an MS Office product and works almost like Excel, but we assist them with appropriate templates and that's a big advantage for the users.
The only thing they are really missing is a better printing functionality than PPM has. Printing a workplan in PPM 7.x is even worse than it was with the workbench before.
