Log when deleting Requests or Projects

Hi everyone,

There is a way how  can I audit when a user delete a request or project?

Regards,

Alfredo

Re: Log when deleting Requests or Projects

My advice is to not give them delete, maybe cancel is enough?

Sure, is better to have only cancel but in this case I would like to know which user delete a particular request.

I think we cannot audit a deleted requests or projects. When the workflow scope is set to "Requests" then you don't have the option to turn on Auditing.
Only packages have the audit feature.

Re: Log when deleting Requests or Projects

Hi Alfredo,

There is one more way of tracking the deleted requests. You can create a custom trigger on KCRT_REQUESTS table and insert all the user and timestamp details in a newly created table USER_DELETED_REQUESTS.

CREATE [ OR REPLACE ] TRIGGER request_deletion BEFORE DELETE  ON KCRT_REQUESTS FOR EACH ROW
DECLARE
   -- variable declarations
BEGIN
Insert user details in the table USER_DELETED_REQUESTS.
EXCEPTION
   WHEN ...
   -- exception handling
END;

Hope it helps.

Mohit
