Library Page

Does anyone know of a way to customize the library page completely. We want to remove all the sections and documents that HP provides and just have a page with a bunch of URL's to external web sites.

Re: Library Page

Hi,

Yes, customization can be done to library page by making changes in library.xml file which is located at /pdf

Hope this helps

Re: Library Page

Siri,

I am aware that you can custom the library.xml file to a certain extent. However due to the dtd file and js files that use the xml file your modifications are limited. I am looking to see if anyone knows how to completely customize this so that there are no left right section requirements or that URL's will actually work.

Re: Library Page

Hi Eric,

We had similar kind of requirement. Not sure if this works for you or not and some thing you would like to do this outside library page but this is what we did.

We added a new link in the product information section to access a html page, from that page we access external web sites that are inculded in the main html page.

As per your requirement, you mentioned you donâ t want to have HP doumentation and left/right section which means you are not going to use any item in the document.

By commenting /removing the library section in core_menu or menu.xml depending on which ppm verison you are using and you can add a new link where you can access external webistes.

Re: Library Page

You could also create a dashboard page with a simple list portlet that pulls some URLs from a simple validation. Very easy to maintain.
