JVM in interpreted mode

Hi,

How can you tell if the JVM is running in interpreted mode? The information in the Installation and Administration Guide is vague on determining this.

I want to be able to verify that our instance is not running in interpreted mode. I see instructions on switching to interpreted mode, but not on checking or switching back to using the JIT compiler.

Thanks.

Re: JVM in interpreted mode

Hi,

I think I found the information you are looking for in this Oracle forum: 1242122

Look for the following line in the serverLog.txt file under PPM_HOME/server/SERVER_NAME/log directory when PPM is starting (may have to start PPM using the "sh kStart.sh -debug" option):
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 20.12-b01, mixed mode, sharing)

"mixed mode" means it is disabled.
