Is it possible to use "Notes" field in order to trigger the workflow?

Hi,

 

Is it possible to use "Notes" field under the "Details" section in order to trigger the workflow in PPM 9.10?

For instance, can I use this fields' token (if there is any) in a rule to trigger another field?

Hi,

 

I am not sure I understand your request.

 

Do you want to trigger a workflow transition upon submitting a new note? In this case, no.

 

Do you want to trigger a change in another request field upon submitting a new note? In this case, you can implement a database-level trigger and implement any logic to update the desired field(s).

I think you could query against the KNTA_NOTE_ENTRIES TABLE to check for the latest note entry and route your workflow transition.
