Is it possible to use Oracle RAC (Real Application cluster) in PPM config?

Hi,

our database server is clustered and when one of them is down the other one is up.
i want to make use of this feature in the PPM.
But you know we define the IP address of the one server in PPM config.
Is there anyway to define another one or address the tnsnames.ora file.

Thanks in advance.

Here's a sample RAC-style TNS config:

db10g =
(DESCRIPTION=
(LOAD_BALANCE=ON)
(FAILOVER=ON)
(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=server01)(PORT=1521))
(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=server02)(PORT=1521))
(CONNECT_DATA=
(SERVICE_NAME=db10g)
(FAILOVER_MODE=
(TYPE=SELECT)
(METHOD=BASIC)
(RETRIES=20)
(DELAY=15)
)
)
)

The System Administration Guide and Reference documents what you need to do to configure Oracle RAC. The connect string and JDBC URL are updated in both server.conf and the KINTANA_SERVER environment.

Also, be sure to remove all blanks from the JDBC_URL specification. They cause parsing errors in some situations.
