Is it possible to "root" a PPM directory chooser validation to the specified base path?

Hi all,

I have a file object for which I used a directory chooser to select the destination directory. I have been asked by my users to not allow anyone to click on the ".." entry to move to the parent directory. I have searched the documentation and the boards but have not found anything. Is there a way to have the directory chooser validation in PPM "root" to the specified base path?

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

Regards,

Craig D.

P.S. We are running PPM v8.01 on a Linux platform.

Hello Craig,
I guess the '..' will work as long as the user accessing the file system has access in the parent folders. What you can do is to set the folder that is first opened in the directory chooser.
Maybe there are options in the OS that could do the rest.
