Is it possible for the stakeholder to edit the workplan in 7.1 sp5?

Hi,

We have a requirement where we have to give access to stakeholder to edit the workplan.
Is it possible to achieve this PPM7.1 sp5?

Hi Shravan.
It's possible
You need do this:
set in request user access tab custom token:
[PRJ="[REQ.P.KNTA_PROJECT_PLAN]".PROJECT_STAKEHOLDER_USERNAME] .Give to this token rights to edit request and they can edit WP.
Use it as a custom token resolving a username.
Good Luck

Re: Is it possible for the stakeholder to edit the workplan in 7.1 sp5?

Hi Semenov Alexander,

I have given custom token
[PRJ="[REQ.P.KNTA_PROJECT_PLAN]".PROJECT_STAKEHOLDER_USERNAME] in the request type "user access" tab and added one user as stakeholder in the project participents of the project. But the added stakeholder was not able to edit the workplan.
Can you please tell me why the added user was not able to edit the WP eventhough i have given edit requests option in the user access tab. Is there any additional grants or additional settings are required to achieve this.CUrrently we are using PPM version 7.1 service pack 5.

Thanks

They need Edit Projects access grant (and maybe also Update Tasks) and also you need a Project Management license to edit the work plan.

Re: Is it possible for the stakeholder to edit the workplan in 7.1 sp5?

Forgot...with "edit projects" grant he will also need to be put in the Project Managers list under Participants, or be put as a summary task owner on some of the work plan tasks.

If you give him "edit all projects" grant, you don't have to do that but he will be able to edit all projects, which you probably don't want.
