Install ITG/PPM as Windows Service

Hi - I know there is a command to set up ITG/PPM as a native windows service after you've migrated an ITG/PPM instance, but I cannot remember it and don't have it documented.

Can any one point me in the right direction?

Re: Install ITG/PPM as Windows Service

Hi Brian,

To create the windows service, run the kConfig.sh from the /bin folder.

Then choose the "Configure Windows Services" option and follow the onscreen steps. The windows service should be setup then.

Re: Install ITG/PPM as Windows Service

Thanks Darshan - I am running ITG 5.5 right now (working to upgrade it currently). This isn't an option for 5.5 kconfig. Any other ideas?

Re: Install ITG/PPM as Windows Service

Hi Brian,

For 5.5, you can create the windows service using the ksvc.exe utility that is in the /bin folder. You can run the following command in the /bin folder,

ksvc install -kh -jh

is the name you want to give the ITG application service.
