Initialization error when starting PPM

Hi,

When I am trying to start PPM, I am getting the below error:

=================================
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
================================

Any idea how to fix this.

Re: Initialization error when starting PPM

Hi,

check if there is a java process left. In this case kill the process and try again.

If this is not the case check available space on all partitions of your servers hard disk.

Last you can try to expand heap size in server.conf using the following parameter

com.kintana.core.SERVER_MAX_HEAP_SIZE

The exact configuration is describt in SysAdmin Guide.

Hope it helps

Re: Initialization error when starting PPM

Due to some reason PPM was picking the HEAP SIZE mentioned in server.conf file. I fixed the issue by Manually allocating the HEAP SPACE before starting PPM.
//Add this to "OnDomLoad" event
