How to see the last shutdown date on PPM.

In a PPM stopped server. How can I see when was the last time it was active, in other words, the date of the last shutdown.

Thanks in advance.
Jon.

Hi Jon,

You can always check the server.log file/s to see when it came down.

Re: How to see the last shutdown date on PPM.

Hi Rich.

I did checked the names and modification dates on the server log files (server_log.txt and timestamps).

What I was looking for is if in those logs is registered the time when the server was stopped.

This is also with the objective of seeing how the server was stopped, I mean if it was stopped with the kStop command or because of any external issue.

Any advice on this?

Re: How to see the last shutdown date on PPM.

When the server is shut down with kStop.sh you will see messages in the log file like:

Shutting down server in 5 minutes.
JBoss SHUTDOWN: Undeploying all packages

If it was not a planned shutdown, I would assume these messages would not be found before the startup messages.

Re: How to see the last shutdown date on PPM.

ITRC answers helped to find the information needed. PPM logs contain the data to determine the last shutdown.
