How to flush the cache?

Hi,

In workflow execution steps, we use ksc_flush_cache request [REQ.REQUEST_ID] command.

Is it possible to do the same in Oracle? Could anyone tell me how to do it?

Because whenever i try to update something via DB procedure/function manually, the changes are not refelecting in the front-end.

Thanks!

Re: How to flush the cache?

I've successfully flushed the cache after performing DB updates within PPM by making a connection to the PPM server and the running kRunCacheManager.sh A using the following steps.

ksc_connect_dest_server DEST_ENV="KINTANA_SERVER"

cd bin

./kRunCacheManager.sh A

ksc_exit

Re: How to flush the cache?

If you're updating tables directly, make sure to update the LAST_UPDATE_DATE column as well (with sysdate, usually). If you update this value, you usually don't have to do anything with the cache directly as it will know the cached object is stale. I usually update the parent as well, if there is one...like if I'm updating KCRT_REQUEST_DETAILS I'll also update the date in KCRT_REQUESTS.
