How to change notification mail addresses from DB?

Hi,

I've imported PPM DB from PROD->TEST, but while I am testing I don't want the notifications just to go to PPMAdmin group.
I have to somehow delete the other users/groups.
If I have a step of 100 sequence I have to go all workflow steps for Notification tab one by one.
This is wasting the time.
There must be an easy way of doing it.

Any help is appreciated.

Re: How to change notification mail addresses from DB?

How do you address the notifications? Are they sent to security groups, email addresses or user ids? How do you want notifications to be handled after your testing is complete?

We disable most production users in some of our non-prod instances. In other instances we just delete their email addresses in the users table with a sql query.

We handle notifications to be sent to the security groups.
I would like to just replace the security groups with another one.

Re: How to change notification mail addresses from DB?

Hi turboman,

You can follow these steps:
1) Move current email address to an temporary field due to get back after test.

update knta_users
set user_data20=email_address

2) Replace all users' email addresses with admin email address.

update knta_users
set email_address='admin@acme.com'

that's all.

Re: How to change notification mail addresses from DB?

Thanks Celil,

This approach is not what I expected.
It is a different one.

Isn't hat good to update notification kind of table and change security group with the new one.
