How to bind JBOSS to localhost

Hi,

I have a requirement to bind the JBOSS of PPM on localhost only.
Background:
PPM is running on Linux and using a external Apache Webserver.
But it is still possible to connect directly to PPM using the port of the ppm internal webserver.
I know a standard JBOSS server can be binded to localhost only.
Is there a way to bind PPM's JBOSS on localhost as well?

Regards
Volker

Re: How to bind JBOSS to localhost

Hi Volker,

I understand that your requierment is that you need to avoid connections to the integrated PPM http server.

If that's your requierment in order to don't modify any configuration to your PPM instance an as you are working at a linux enviroment I recommend to use iptables to block the PPM http_port. I think it is the best and easiest way to do it.

Re: How to bind JBOSS to localhost

Hi Cesar,

iptables configuration are not allowed in this environment.

I have solved this issue by modifing the server.xml file in /server/kintana/deploy/jbossweb-tomcat55.sar dir and modifing the kUpdateHtml.sh script.
