Hot deploying JSPs in itg.war

Hi,

Does anyone know how to hotdeploy JSP files in the itg.war folder?

In old ITG6 hot deploying was enabled, but is gone ever since PPM7.1 it seems.

Re: Hot deploying JSPs in itg.war

There used to be a server.conf parameter to enable automatic recompile, but it does not work on my dev instance (and hasn't for a long time):
com.kintana.core.server.JSP_RECOMPILE_ENABLED=true
It's still in the 8.0 docu though. Give it a try and please tell us if it is working for you.

Hi,

No the RECOMPILE_JSP does not appear to be effective. Strange.

Re: Hot deploying JSPs in itg.war

Hi Cenk,

I think set the variable JSP_RECOMPILE_ENABLED to true is not a good idea for performance issues.

I have not deployed anything at PPM 7.1 but at PPM 7.5 the way I do it is:

1.- Stop the ppm instace.

2.- Modify the necesary thinks at the /conf/java_portlets.xml file.

3.- Copy your .war file to /server//deploy

4.- Delete the directories work and tmp located at /server/

That directories will be recreated when you start your instance.

5.- Start your intance again.
