Help: Date Manipulation in mail notification

Hi,

We have a requirment in which we need to send a mail to users with the below content:

"The period of approval will start on <freezedata + 1 day>  to <Rdate - 3 days>".

For example if  freezedata = 02/09/213 & Rdate =02/10/2013, the the mail content should be as

"The period of approval will start on 03/09/2013  to  29/09/2013".

How can this achieved ?  My idea is to use an execution step to send this mail, with  notification format as HTML, but how to do the manipulation.

Thanks!!

Re: Help: Date Manipulation in mail notification

Hi,

you can make use of the automatic execution step you are mentioning in order to store the calculated date in a field hidden from users and then use the field in the notification as you would use any other field.

cheers

Re: Help: Date Manipulation in mail notification

Hi Alex,

Yes, i thought that. But i want to know is it possible to do it 'on the fly' without use of fields..

If possible, i prefer using that approach..

Thanks,

Roopesh

Re: Help: Date Manipulation in mail notification

Hi, Roopesh,

Unfortunately, in PPM this is the simplest approach.

Cheers
