Hi,
I need to add a filter field in a portlet with a datatype Varchar(multi-select). I tried like this,
and ku.username in ('[P.Username]')

But its not working. Please help on this.

Re: HP PPM

Hi Deviga,

try to userid because only numbers can be in "in" stmt of oracle.
So in portlet filter make the validation to have userids in paramater and fullname in VP.

u can use like this

ku.user_id in (P.USERID])

USERID being token of the filter field.

Is this helpful.

Thanks

Re: HP PPM

Hi Raja,

If i'm filtering with 'Location' and there is no 'location id/code' in the table, for the same condition(ie: Varchar with multi-select), is any other method to filter using 'location' field.

Re: HP PPM

Hi,

Use TO_STRING on your token to make it multiselect-friendly.

So something like

And Location IN ([VP.MY_TOKEN.TO_STRING])

should do it.

Re: HP PPM

Hi Erik,

I have never know this option. Usually i will customize the validation to have codes in Parameters. and use it in filters. or i will use instr function and like function to get the results.

This really seems to be helpful to me.
