Freezing the timesheet period itself rather than individual timesheets

Greeting,
As per business process at the end of month we freeze the time logging for the current month for billing purpose.
In PPM how can we achieve freezing time sheet period itself so users can not enter time in next month rather that freezing individual time sheets.

Appreciate any help in this

I have asked HP Support whether they have any CRON Job to close/freeze all approved time sheets some time back, They told that they don't have one for that.

Hope you can write a PL/SQL Procedure for this or some Time Management Webservice code.

Thanks.

Re: Freezing the timesheet period itself rather than individual timesheets

Sagar,

Here are two scenarios, first the user has not created timesheet and he is creating timesheet for previous time periods. So, in this case you need to make changes in time periods validation so that previous time periods doesn't show up in the list.

The second one, the user has released the timesheet. So, before billing the time report to client you would assume all the timesheets have been approved. In that case, you would need to run a backend procedure to freeze the timesheets of all the users for that period.

Thanks!
