Formatting issue

Hi,

We have one portlet(Request List). User has used this portlet TWICE with different settings (Edit preferences).

Difference is:
1. In first portlet, filter added is 'Status' of project (with value 'in Test')
2. In second portlet, filter added is 'Request Type' (with value 'Developmnent Request') and 'Schedule release' (with values 'Mar 09; Apr 09; May 09; Jun 09; Jul 09; Aug 09; Sep 09; Oct 09; Nov 09; Dec 09')

Now, when this user is viewing 1), it shows improper formatted values for column 'Scheduled release' - it says Jan_09 instead of Jan 09. When I remove the filter 'in Test'
and add a string 'Mar 09; Apr 09; May 09; Jun 09; Jul 09; Aug 09; Sep 09; Oct 09; Nov 09; Dec 09 for filter 'Schedule Release' it works perfect.

However user wants that filetr 'in Test'.

The other portlet 2) works perfect.

What could be wrong here, very strange behaviour.

Regards,
Sam.

Re: Formatting issue

Hi,

Is this an issue with portlet definition or data source?

Thanks
Sam.

Re: Formatting issue

Where should I find query? The portlet is Java imported one.

Re: Formatting issue

Hi,

what do you mean with "imported java portlet"? Is this a customized java portlet? In this case take a look at the source code....

Otherwise activate JDBC logging in workbench
Second menupoint on top (I have a german version, no idea about the english expression of this menu)

Select debugging-preferences
select jdbc logging.
run the portlet
have a look at the serverLog.txt located in /server/kintana/log
it should now contain the statement
Don't forgot to unset the jdbc logging afterwards.

Volker

Re: Formatting issue

Just an additional note:

What is happening is - the configured portlet shows results (a list) only When user provides some dates (in 'Scheduled Release' field). If this field is kept empty nothing appears.

The above query I provided belogs to one such configured data source (that is being used by the problematic portlet) showing this problem.

Thanks in advance.
