External Resource Assigning

Is there any way I can assign an external resource to a task in the PPM?

Re: External Resource Assigning

No, but you can create resources/users in PPM that do not have a licence. These resources need to be in a resource pool and in any security group with that is enabled for projects (if i remember correctly).
May be much work for the user admin, but is a "clean" solution ;-)

Re: External Resource Assigning

I want to make sure we are talking about the same thing.
I'm talking about Local resource (like in MS project server) a resource that is only active within a specific file, for example external sub contractor that i want to show his work within my work plan

Re: External Resource Assigning

If you want to limit the accessibility to that resource (must be a defined resource in PPM) you can create a separate resource pool and limit the access to that resource pool to one PM.
If you want to make sure, the external resource has only access to that single project, make sure project access is set to participants only in all projects and project types respectivly. The external resource then needs access to the system (with licence and login).
