Export to excel not working in report

Hi,

I am trying to export report output into excel file but getting below error.

HTML report output gets generated properly and gets stored in /itg/reports/ directory.

Base path of ITG server is - /u02/kintana/itg.

-------------------------------------
/itg/reports/rep_31690.html (No such file or directory)

java.io.FileNotFoundException: /itg/reports/rep_31690.html (No such file or directory)

at org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.serviceJspFile(JspServlet.java:295)
at org.apache.jasper.servlet.JspServlet.service(JspServlet.java:241)
------------------------------

I have given all accesses (chmod 777) to /reports/ directory.

Any ideas what could be the reason for this error message?

Attaching JSP file which I am using.

Please help.

Thanks,
Vinod

Re: Export to excel not working in report

Hi Vinod,

I am not sure but in code ...

/* FileInputStream fin = new FileInputStream
(strName); */

"strName" which you are passing is "strName = "/itg/reports/rep_"+strReportNumber+".html"

Please try to give complete path like "/u02/kintana/itg/reports/rep_"+strReportNumber+".html"".

I am not sure but it may be reson that's why its not able to reach to target file.

Please try by using this.

Hope this will help you.

Many Regards,

Re: Export to excel not working in report

Hi,

I was desperate until I read this post.
Then I got my hopes back.
Can you tell me please, is it possible to use Java/JavaScript in the rules?
If yes, how or any documentation?

Re: Export to excel not working in report

Hi TurboMan,

Yes it is possible to use JavaScript in Rules, whereas u can use JAVA in execution steps.

Javascript in a rule can be used as:

Create an Oracle Function:

FUNCTION TEST(req_id number) RETURN VARCHAR2 IS

BEGIN

update kcrt_request_details
set parameter15 = '<script type="text/javascript"> alert("This is my first JavaScript!");</script>',
visible_parameter15 = '<script type="text/javascript"> alert("This is my first JavaScript!");</script>'
where request_id = req_id;

commit;

return 'Success';

END TEST;

Then call this function is Rule as:

Select TEST(Requets_id),TEST(Requets_id) from dual.

In PPM 7.5 onward you can use UI rules to implement the Java script features.
//Add this to "OnDomLoad" event
