i want to check a condition in an execution step in order to go forward.i mean ,if the user of that step wants to proceed the workflow step, system must control a custom variable and if this variable doesn't have the proper value, system shouldn't let the proceed further and gives a message to the user.
i think i can do this with execution steps but don't know how . i assume that i can run two execution step sequentally. In the first execution step,i want to get the data's from the database and update a custom variable in the request form. In the second step,i want to check this variable's value and let or doesn't let the process to go further. How can i do this?
i want to enable this message only if the user choose "Approve" button. There are more than one button.Let's say ,one of them is "cancel",the other one is "hold" and the last one is "approve". The message should be appeared only if the "Approve" button is selected. i applied the rule with the rule event "Apply before transition",it didn't work as the way i want.Instead every time a user press any button in the request step, this message is seen. This is not a good way. How can i prevent this?
