Environment check fails

Hi,
We are having 6 clustered Production Environments such as

PRODUCTION1
PRODUCTION2
PRODUCTION3
PRODUCTION4
PRODUCTION5
PRODUCTION6

All these Application Servers have a user ID called 'PDW01'

All the user ID have same password.

We are able to login into the remote server with the 'PDW01' user ID and Password.

PRODUCTION1
PRODUCTION2 are defined in the 'Environment' section of workbench till yesterday.

The environment check for PRODUCTION1 and
PRODUCTION2 always succeeds.

We have added 4 new Environments for PRODUCTION3
PRODUCTION4
PRODUCTION5
PRODUCTION6

and entered correct information and for these four, the environment check fails. This is surely not a Password issue.

What could be the problem? Kindly advice.

Regards,
Mahendran M

Re: Environment check fails

Muthu,

Verify the Connection Protocol and the transfer protocol. If the transfer protocol is specified FTP please confirm with the server admins that FTP is activated on the respective server .

Please send me a screen shot of the error log.

Thanks,

Re: Environment check fails

Hi,
I ran the 'Server Configuration Report' for all the servers in the workbench.

For all 6 servers I saw the same FTP information

com.kintana.core.server.CONC_LOG_TRANSFER_PROTOCOL Ftp

com.kintana.core.server.NON_DOMAIN_FTP_SERVICES WAR-FTPD

Does this mean FTP is active in all servers?

I the environment section, I have given 'Connection Protocol' as 'SSH' and 'Transfer Protocol' as 'Secure Copy'.

How can we test whether the Protocol is active or not?

Re: Environment check fails

Hi,
We found that Port22 in PRODUCTION Servers 1 & 2 are open.

For the rest it is not open.
