Does this error message look familiar to anyone?

I see it in the logs on occasion. It doesn't seem to cause any issues on the front end, but I'm curious as to what it means.

Re: Does this error message look familiar to anyone?

Hi Cat,

RnD state that this issue is occuring beacause a null is not an acceptable value for work_plan_seq, so hibernate is trying to convert it to a primitive 'long' type.

Check what you get if you execute the following:

select * from pm_work_plans wp where WP.WORK_PLAN_SEQ is null;

Next check how the 2 workplans in the result spreadsheet are being used.  For instance if the workplans don't have a workplan template (work_plan_template_id=null) or they are not attached to a project (PROJECT_ID=null).

Check if you can open the respective workplans. If so, are they attached to the correct project or to one they shouldn't belong to?

There is one incident that this kind of issue occured in and that was with PPM 8.03. My suggestion is to gather the data above as best as possible, open a case describing when this error is thrown and also provide kSupport. We should look at this a bit closer.

Best regards,

Dirk

Re: Does this error message look familiar to anyone?

Apparently we have a workplan with no Project_ID and no work_plan_seq number. It was a test project so I'm sure it should have been deleted.

Thanks for the query!

Re: Does this error message look familiar to anyone?

Hi Cat,

for future references / customers, I've created a knowledge-doc on Self Solve Online also. Thanks for making this possible. The ID of the knowledge doc that will be published within the next 24h is KM1161808.

Guess we can then close this string.

Have a great day.

Best regards,

Dirk
