Does running multiple java versions affect the working of PPM application?

Hi,

We are currently using PPM V9.14.002.

Till recently we were using Java version 1.6.0_37 and it was upgraded to version 1.6.0_43 and now both the versions are running. The both versions are installed in the same folder or location.

We started facing an issue in promoting a proposal to project and in the log it shows

JAVA_HOME = /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.6.0-sun-1.6.0.37

  Command 'Java' failed, please check Java settings.  " (please find the attachment)

and then the project is going to "not submitted" status.

I'v checked the java version currently running using the command 'java -showversion' and it is showing as 1.6.0_43 is running.

Can anyone please tell me what is causing the issue here?

Do I need to uninstall the java version 1.6.0_37 ?

Thanks and Regards,

Aitha Santhosh

Change the JAVA_HOME parameter in .profile file of the PPM system user (OS).

Cheers..
