All the architectures I have seen so far had single database, so my question is- does PPM support multiple Oracle Databases?
Why would you want to do that?
I need to respond to a customer query. They want to know if PPM supports the multiple Oracle functionality or not?
Well as far as I know, the two schemas that PPM runs on must be in the same database. If they're talking about RAC, then yes it supports that. Any access to data in other databases could be done via database link.
if this question is from a new customer, then the answer is: yes, PPM supports multiple databases.
Starting with the latest releases (9.21 and 9.14.008), PPM supports the migration of the DMS-related objects to another schema, which may also reside in another database.
