Delegate decision

We have a 'Approve - All Users' step where everyone must vote for the request to continue on. On a 'Approve - All Users' step, there is a default transition "Delegate Decision". If the step delegate to one who has no edit access to the request, he cann't see action buttons.
Does anyone have any good workarounds for this? Thanks!

We are facing same issue. How did you solve the problem?

Re: Delegate decision

You can do this by...

  1. Open the Request Type
  2. Create a field, which can store the USER_ID/USERNAME. Then SAVE the request
  3. Go to USER ACCESS tab
  4. Click NEW and add the participant
    Enter a User Defined Token
    and select this new field
  5. Now in Your workflow put some logic which can update this user field with the desired user_id.
    You can use rule also....

Now the deligation will go to that user, whose name is there in the field... and user will be having the required access grants also.

Cheers..

Re: Delegate decision

Hi,

if you are running 9.14, you can hide the Delegate Decision button:

The system does not provide any method for you to hide the "Delegate decision" button for workflow steps where the "Decision Required" option is set to "At Least One" or to "All."
PPM Center version 9.14 Introduce a parameter (com.kintana.core.server.WF_DISABLE_DELEGATE_DECISION_STEP) to determine whether to hide the Delegate decision button or not. You can hide the
Delegate decision button by setting this parameter to true. If this parameter is not set or set to false, the "Delegate decision" button will be displayed. (QCCR1L40782).

You can then implement your own delegation workflow if required.

Re: Delegate decision

i Alex,

we want to remove delegate decision button for just one workflow. Can we restrict for a specific wf?

Thanks in advance,

Re: Delegate decision

Hi,

as far as I know, you cannot do this by OOTB configuration means.

What you could do is alter the jsp which displays the request page in order to implement logic to hide the Delegate Decision button only for specific request types - be reminded that this is done by request type, not by workflow.

cheers
