1.) How to default "Request Type" When creating a new change request, we would like to default the only available request. It would even be better when, you click create it takes you directly the Request Header screen.
2.) How to default "Workflow" When you get to the Request Header Summary screen, it requires a workflow to be defined. Since we only have one main workflow we would like to default the only available option. If this works I would like to change the field to display (since there is only one option anyway). Today it defaults the delivered "Bug request" template but when you look at the available options, that workflow does not show in the list.
1) From where are you creating the request? We do this from the "Dashboard - Front Page", in the left menu in the "Demand Management" section choose "Create a Request" link. This takes you to "Create New Request" page where you have to choose a request type. Since we only have one, I would like to default/hide this step.
2) Usually this is done with a request type rule. See the section of the Demand Mgt Config Guide called "Creating Simple Default Rules for Request Types"
so - RTM (Read The Manual) I actually found it in another section, so the Workflow now defaults based on the request type chosen; and changed it to display. (solved)
What you can do is change the URL that the "Create a Request" link points to. More info on this in the "Changing Menu Item Text" section of the Customizing the Standard Interface manual, but basically:
- edit demand_manager.xml located in /conf/menus directory on the PPM Server
- find the line with the url for that menu item and change it to a url for creating a request of your desired type
