We are upgrading from 9.12 to 9.22 and the Cost category on a position is now required in order to create a new position in the staffing profile. This is not functionality that we use and our users are not at all happy about having to enter a value every time they create a new position. When I look at the validation CST - Budget Labor Category, I see that Contractor is listed as the default, but this default isn't happening. When I attempt to edit the validation value, the Default checkbox is greyed out. Does anybody know of a way to make this default work? We'd like it set to Employee by default and the PM can change the value to contractor on exception rather than making them select Employee 90% of the time.
Hi...I know there are multiple enhancement requests logged with HP for this, as well as the other fields (capex/opex, etc). The staffing position entry form basiclly ignores all validation defaults. I've been waiting years for this.
