Dashboard / MyRequest Portlet Timeout

We just upgraded to PPM 8.02 and our users are complaining that the OOTB My Requests portlet is sporadically timing out. Has anyone else experienced this?

It appears to happen more often as more users are on the system and most notably when the user clicks on a column heading to re-sort the result set.

We have increased the time-out value in sever.conf but still have users timing out.
