Customizing PPM 8.0

Does anyone know where to change the color of the top blue bar? In prior versions, you could just change it in the Global Style Sheet, but that no longer seems to be the case in 8.0.

Re: Customizing PPM 8.0

Hello Marlene,
in the past we changed the color using a shell script that searches and replaces the color code in all css files like this:
for file in ../server/$INSTANCE_NAME/deploy/itg.war/web/knta/global/css/*.css
do
if grep -i -q "003366" $file ; then
echo $file
cp $file $file$EXT
sed s/003366/003278/ig $file$EXT > $file
fi
done
I did not yet try that script with release 8 though.

Re: Customizing PPM 8.0

Had a look in to the global style sheet. These are lines 54ff; did you try changing these?
.mainbanner {
background-color: #003366;
}

Re: Customizing PPM 8.0

Yes, I have replaced all that were 003366 in the Global Style Sheet.

Re: Customizing PPM 8.0

You are right, there must be some difference with release 8. I'll use the script we used in the passed later this week. It's not an issue for our production instance, but the dev and training systems should be distinguishable.

Re: Customizing PPM 8.0

Hi,
A co-worker recently updated this banner. She documented the files and our changes in the attached file.
Hope this helps!

Re: Customizing PPM 8.0

Thanks for sharing this documentation with us, it did the trick for me. The old script I used with older releases change the colors in all locations except for the top banner. I'll attach it just in case someone wants to use it for 6.0 or 7.x
